A deserved drink

Not exactly the most exciting day in my life. As usual went to work and I actually got a lot done today. When I got home one of my fish had died which upset me.

After work I went for a run with my mate down the canal which was really nice and relaxing to be honest. When we got back to hers she told me how she was sort of seing someone and now she's not and went into detail on what happened. This has all happened in a 4 week window. I listened and tried to offer some support, encouragement and advice but I think she has had it with men, (for the time being anyway).

When I got home I through a pizza in the oven and before I could jump in the shower my senior commercial manager phoned me. He told me that his performance review went really bad today and got a performance improvement required after a 3 hour review. He was really p**sed off and he want a friend to talk to and to seek some advice as he is considering putting in a grievance. I was on the phone for 40 minutes with him listening to what he said and I tried to offer him some advice and guidance which he really appreciated.

I think I should start offer my services as a Counseling psychologist after today. To be honest I actually enjoy listening to people's issues and problems and offer help and support where I can. Strangley enough I'm quite a closed person and I never share my issues or problems with anyone as I bottle everything up and try and sort it out myself. Maybe that's why I'm good at helping others.
