A tour of the Midlands
Its been a different Thursday to say the least.
Work was uninspiring with little happening although I did see someone who had come in to do a presentation that I went to uni with. It turns out we know the same people from outside of uni too which is somewhat bizarre.
Lunch was spent enjoying the sun - and then the Thursday twist happened.
I got a text from Trutts to advise one of the American bridesmaids from Paul's wedding was heading to the midlands as she had a spare evening.
He wanted to see if I was free as I'd agreed if she did come this way I'd meet up.
So - 5.30 hit - and no surprises I was stuck sorting out someones flights - so at 5.46 I got out and myself, Gemma, Trutts and Lindsae the American took a walk round Birmingham seeing sights such as the bull and erm the bull made out of jelly beans and then went to nandos for dinner.
After dinner we did a bit more walking before dropping Gemma at the train station and then myself Trutts and Lindsae headed to Coventry for more sightseeing.
We visited the Ricoh Arena - home of Coventry City (hence the photo) and then went into the City centre to see the Lady Godiva statue and clock and then the cathedral.
All in all it's been a good night and I'm sure Lindsae has left the Midlands glad to see an alternative side to the UK other than London!!
