Gorgeous Girl at Planet Bar

Pete was feeling well enough to venture into town with Felicity this afternoon. He wanted to buy a springbok skin from Greenmarket Square and then they planned to walk along Clifton Beaches. After Hamish had played golf, we all met at the Mount Nelson Hotel.

The Mount Nellie, as it's affectionately known, is where my parents spent their honeymoon, where Hamish learnt to swim and where Ian taught Benson the bar manager to make his secret cocktail. Benson liked the concoction so much that he named it a 'Gorgeous Girl' and added it to the menu (although this has recently changed).

Here is Pete sampling Ian's cocktail. I can't remember all of the ingredients but know it contains gin, angostura bitters, cointreau and a little cream - DELICIOUS!
