How to Catch a Leprechaun

Before Landon's Spring Break (right before St. Patrick's Day), his teacher gave the class a project to do over the break. The project was to design a trap for a leprechaun. =) Since leprechaun's don't follow the rules and are very sneaky, the best way to catch one is to make a sign like 'no trespassing', 'caution' or 'no leprechaun's allowed'. Over the break we ended up completing a trap for our leprechaun. Since I insisted this wouldn't be a parent project more than a kid project....Landon learned how to use a glue gun, a laminator (for the rainbow), spray paint (to turn our tissue box green and a white wedding favor pail black) and a few other new crafty tricks. In the end we ended up with a rainbow ladder ('cause you know leprechauns love their rainbows) leading up to the top of the trap and once he reached the pot of gold, he would fall into the hole that the clovers were covering up. I got a little distracted planning Liam's birthday party to have in done in time for St. Patty's day, but I've gotta say, had we had in done in time we probably would have caught one. ;) We'll have to put it out next year!

(looking at that top middle picture made me realize what a little muscle man I have in my 6-year-old!)
