Rock and Tree Sandwich

Last night we had a terrific rain storm. When I walked across the street this morning to get the paper, there wasn't a step I took that didn't include stepping on an earthworm who had escaped drowning by coming out of the grass! (I don't know if that is really why they all come out!!)

Finally, this afternoon, the rain stopped and I was able to go for a walk. I found this most interesting tree sandwich--lava rock and juniper tree variety!
