Belated Mothers Day!

My son and his wife came over last night and brought the most unusual bunch of flowers I have ever seen! They are real flowers that have been painted or dyed. The chrysanthemums have been dyed and are the most stunning electric colours and the single rose has had the petals painted so each one is a different colour. Anybody know how they achieve that when the rose isn't even open yet?! They are beautiful and fascinating at the same time!!
