Each stone a grave

On a beautiful sunny day, I decided to visit an old cemetery in the north of Lewis. I have been told that each rock you see represents a grave of a Niseach. There are 9,000 graves in this wee cemetery above the sea. Only a few are marked with a tombstone. Why? Because only people with money could afford a gravestone. The others had to make do with a rock.
