New Project

Doesn't look much at the moment,but this is the Mould, the actual boat is inside!! Until I get some strengthening strips and frames in her, this is how she will stay. She is a Model of a Hull Fishing boat,1metre 10 long, from the early 1900s, no extra keel for sailing, just 8 kilos of lead poured into her.Should be exciting!! (You float the boat in a pond, then pour the molten lead, the water cools the hull and prevents it bursting into flames. Well that is the Theory.)The real boat had 11 tons of ballast, lead and concrete. When they leave an old boat to rot on the beach, I wonder if anyone thinks of the lead under the floorboards?
