the moorland cottage

I was feeling quite bold as I ran through the garden (on a public footpath) and stopped in front of this little house to take a photo. 20 or more years ago it was a shepherds' cottage, belonging to the local council, but fell into disrepair. Some years ago the council sold it and it is now privately owned. I half thought at the time it was on the market that it would be a jolly place to live, but in reality, it is too isolated for family life. And, how odd to have runners etc passing through the garden at any time of day!!
