Wigwam Burner
I wanted something special today for my 500th so drove down to Dawson to take a pic of the wigwam burner at Hull Oakes Lumber Co. The burner is no longer used (see explanation here) but the mill still runs. They cut huge timbers up to 85 feet long. The mill is on the historic registry, it's run by a system of belts and pulleys.
Special to me because I love old rusty junk! and because my family has been in the timber industry for generations. Can't believe I'm at 500 already. I really love blipfoto and all the people I've met here. I'm still learning as I go and appreciate everyone's comments and critiques.
