Redpoll

Another sunny but cold day. I spent some time in my hide in the woods and saw quite much. Besides the regular tits and great spotted woodpecker there were jay (närhi), greenfinch (viherpeippo), siskin (vihervarpunen), redpoll (urpianen), yellowhammer (keltasirkku), first chaffinch (peippo) for this spring and I'm pretty sure I heard bullfinch (punatulkku) too eventhough didn't see any. And a blackbird (mustarastas). I aslo saw a mouse and a man who came from the lake and wondered the cut trees and my feeding station and hide. I guess he was not sure if I was there in the hide. Didn't say anything anyways. I didn't either.

The snow at this time of the year is not as clean as you see it in the picture. There are this and that including seeds from the feeder. So I tidied it a bit.

Tits are easy to photgraph because they sit on the twigs and everything I put there but finches and similar just stay in the ground or the feeding station feasting with the food. I try to figure out something else to get them in better positions.
