Leaving the lakes

Yesterday was the drive home from the lake district, so this is the last of the back-blips of a wonderful week away. A long way to go, so this was a bit of a grab shot.

We'd been staying just down from the Hardknott Pass, so there had been plenty of trips over. This is taken from just over Hardknott, looking towards Wrynose Pass from Wrynose Bottom. The photo doesn't do justice to the majesty of the scenery that was there.
