Grace

Some things happen regardless of external circumstances.

Ice-cream was eaten today despite the fact that it wasn't 'ice-cream weather'. It was too good an opportunity to let a few clouds get in our way.

Sometimes, no matter what we do or say, things happen. Jesus had to die on the cross, despite the fact that he pleaded with his Father to "take this cup from me". He bore the weight of our sins and look at the good that has come out of it. He didn't just save a generation but he saved every person who has lived and every person who is still to live.

He is the ultimate example of someone who had things happen to him that he didn't deserve or want. He understands.
