watch the birdies

There was an ornithological orgy in the garden today! Couple of male blackbirds fighting over a female - showing off........reminding me of my clubbing days! ;o) The robins are chasing each other from hedge to hedge and the starlings are just eating as usual. Just managed to catch this little fellow before he dissappeared - presumably to find his lady.

Had a big surge on the housework (maybe I'm in nesting mode too) and then rewarded myself with back to back Bondi Vet.....not sure who was cuter, Chris or the koala bear........

Went to the theatre in the evening to see The Marriage of Figaro. The first opera I've seen that I didn't cry at. I do seem to be a bit of a moron magnet at the theatre - today was no change. The woman behind me said to her husband 'the ice cream was nice - but a little too cold' - and when the lead character came out with a gun, she said 'I don't think he should be waving a gun about in front of an audience'......maybe it was the same woman behind me at Jesus Christ Superstar who exclaimed at the end 'well I didn't think it would end like that'. Let's hope she's not watching Titanic eh!
