My daily view!
This view never fails to take my breath away. Now the mornings are lighter this is what I wake to each day, and was the persuading factor in renting this cottage, despite being told how bleak it can be in the winter. With living next to an Iron Age fort, I enjoy uninterrupted views of the moors and surrounding areas. On a clear day I can see as far as Exeter from one field and to Plymouth from the other! Today, I had a mini picnic at the top of the field whilst the dogs ran free, I am so lucky to have access to so much space.

Although definitely not as warm as last week, it has been a stunning day and perfect for getting out in the garden and mowing the lawn! The first time this year. I was reminded about how much the lawn had been destroyed when they had driven a tractor in to use instead of scaffolding whilst plastering the chimney breast. It was awful, mud and mess everywhere as well as the new fencing, that my neighbour and I had just completed, was completely ruined! I don't think I used the garden for the rest of the summer - it was just too depressing!
Now it is a completely different story, the grass has had time to begin to recover and with the chimney breast wall painted you can see the beauty of the cottage return. The fencing will also be redone which will look so much better and stop the worry of Jem and Millie being able to escape! I will post a photo or two when it is done! Hopefully by the end of the Easter holidays!
Three beautiful things:
Fresh eggs.
The smell of freshly cut grass.
A Sunday not spent on school work!
One thing to be grateful for:
Sunny days!
