What a difference a day makes...
...24 little hours, and a wash and blow dry. A's hair was looking marginally better this morning in advance of the family photo shoot and, by the time it came round, we were having so much fun it didn't really matter what any of us looked like!
Gregory, an ex work colleague, was doing the shoot to expand his portfolio and spent the afternoon getting us to sit, stand, jump, throw, dance and be generally quite silly. He made us so relaxed and we all really enjoyed the shoot. A was a star - prancing around like she was made for a life in front of the camera! D was great too, but slightly more difficult to keep in front of the lens when everything else was just too damn interesting!
When our time was up we took a stroll into Stockbridge, passing The Antiquary pub along the way. No word of a lie but, without any prompting, A said she wanted to look inside. The owner is just lovely and welcomed us in with open arms. R and I got a well deserved drink and the kids got a plate full of chips - win, win. We attempted to play a board game; not the easiest with two very small players and no instructions, but it was fun nonetheless.
This was D's first trip to a pub and I'm sure we'll be taking the kids more as they get older. It'll be nice to know the owner of The 'Tic will know both his and A's faces well prior to their coming of age drink. No underage drinking for those kids in that pub!
A rather blurred shot this evening I'm afraid. I hadn't realised camera was on aperture priority so only got this shot before A took off. I do like her diminutive frame under the large arch however, and am just too tired to shoot anything else - sorry...
