Edinburgh... always walking uphill!

Big day today... bought a new camera!! woohoo!
It's still in the box and I haven't touched it....quite frankly, it terrifies the living daylights out of me...I don't know where to start with it and I know how nothing works!!...should be interesting when I get round to picking it up and using it!..lol.

Ended up taking a trip into Edinburgh, to cut a long story short, I went to our local Jessops with the camera I wanted in my head but was served by an over enthusiastic sales man... who wanted to talk to me like I was stupid .
He may have had a point, I was buying a camera with absolutely no knowlege of photography or camera settings.. but he couldn't grasp the fact that I wanted to learn with something better than an entry level DSLR camera and really just came over as patronising... anyway he lost himself a sale and I lost my confidence in myself and my husband lost his temper! lol
Anyway... we went to the Jessops in Edinburgh instead, having learnt lessons we had a no bull attitude when we entered...we got great service and I got the camera I wanted... so I'm now the owner of a Cannon EOS500D and a 75-300ml lense... and not a clue where to start!
I'm not sure when I'll start blipping with it, but hopefully soon.

First I have the small matter of an operation tommorrow to get out the way...eek!!
