Glory Days...

Messy

I will always have a soft spot for QPR as all my mums side of the family are avid fans so have been looking forward to this fixture for sometime.

Started the day just off Queensway where we met uncle Dave and Nick for a pint in what could only be described as the quietest pub in London. Myself and Hughesy made our excuses and arranged to meet Dave after the game and made a dash for some decent away pubs in shepherds bush.

Less said about the game the better and met up with Dave in Notting Hill after the game. Lovely little pub called the uxbridge arms and it wasn't long til the jäger bombs came out to play. The pub actually felt like a traditional country pub which was bizarre for London. Ended up staying there most of the evening until it was probably time to leave as the locals had noticed Stuart had been tucking into their buffet in the private party section of the pub! All highly amusing.

Missed the last train home so Dave and I tried to check into a hotel which is not easy in London as most hotels seem put out if you just turn up at midnight. Had to settle for a poxy hostel in the end! Gave us a twin room with bunk beds(!) that had access, via a window, to the roof so was a bit special in terms of views over London etc.

Great day.
