Borgue
1. A slow start but we find our feet and set off in the sunshine. We set off along the Dundrennan road and land in Castle Douglas.
2. Straight to our favourite shop for our famous non purchasing mooch, an ice cream and a dip into the treasure trove that is Threave Hardware. I leave with a new 'cooking' tagine. Bargain.
3. Easy-osey down the road. I fancy Borgue. My grandfather was born there. On the way the beach is too good to pass and we pull in. It's pretty cool and what we expected to be a swift stop ends up in an hour or so happily playing on the beach making things. We discover lots of the stones have lines on them and we soon start to make a patteren with them. We do a spiral and a jagged line. Pure happiness in the last of the day's sun.
4. A triumphant steak dinner in the Selkirk Arms followed by the legendary Selkirk mess for pudding.
5. A swift stop at the Masonic Arms, home and Bond. I am out for the count by half nine.
