Mirador

On the Western shore of Costa Rica (near Uvita) we had the great good fortune to be staying with friends who built a house there over 15 years ago. The living space is all on one floor, and the second level is entirely devoted to a mirador or lookout. It is open 360 degrees and is ideal for watching the wildlife that comes around. Of course, the house has also beautiful gardens of which just a corner makes it into this photo.
