March 31st.

March 31st seems to be a date that something always happens on. It used to be the date when I seemed to end various jobs I've had and not because of the tax year.

So I shouldn't have been surprised when trying to have a quiet day after a busy week that everything went pear shaped.

My friend who is recovering from his operation found that his wound where the drains had been, was leaking. He called the district nurse out who said it was infected so she contacted the out of hours doctor who issued a prescription.

However that meant that he had to get to the hospital to the out of hours surgery to collect it and that meant I had to take him.

The problem was (why is there always a problem) that the doctor had written the script out for tablets and my friend can only take medication in a soluble form. So we had to wait to get that sorted out.

I made him something to eat afterwards and then took him back home.

Hopefully he will start to pick up a bit now that the infection is being sorted out.
