My Hero

This is a picture of my Father today taken at a memorial service for September 11th in my hometown. We lost alot of people that day, as did many places across the USA.
God Bless everyone.. Firefighters (like my dad), Police, Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles, Best Friends and so on. You are dearly missed and treasured in our hearts. A year after that fateful day, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting some firefighters at the station by the Seaport in NYC (their station lost the most that day)... I gave them hats, a patch and shirts from my dads station (who were sent into the city that day) along with a bunch of flowers, they were so gracious and gave me a hat in return. I gave that hat to my father who cried when I handed it to him. The "brotherly love" that firemen and police have for each other gives me chills still today. They are heros, each and everyone of them and hold a dear place in my heart.
