The Firs
I was at 'work' this afternoon at the Book Shop. Not a lot to excite me, but it keeps me busy and off the streets on a Monday afternoon ;-)
I came through Rother Street gardens on the way home. There's a plaque there that informs that the gardens are actually called The Firs and the land was bought by Marie Corelli in 1910 as a present to the town to be preserved as a garden for public use. See my previous blip.
In my previous blip I mentioned the building, of which I still haven't found any information, but I thought I'd take another photo today and publish it so you knew what I was talking about (does anybody ever know?).
