Man at Work

The heat's back today, but with just a hint in the air that it's not summer anymore and it's a little cooler at night. Summer clothes are all discounted, as are all the sandals and flip flops. Strange to see Brazilian chicas inspecting knee length black leather boots though, as though wondering if they'll be ok in the snow! Took this pic just round from the hotel in a leafy street and I imagine the workman was happy to be working in the shade. There was something about the blank wall behind him and his pace of working that made me stop and think the scene could easily be in a small village, rather than a city of almost 19 million inhabitants.
