Flagpoles have arrived!

I'm not entirely sure why we call tadpoles 'flagpoles'. Probably for similar reasons that we call telegraph poles 'telewag poles' and screwdrivers 'coogle scroogles'.

I got a bit over excited when I went down to the pond today and discovered that they'd hatched, we'd had hardly any frogspawn at all, and that we did get was significantly depleted by those members of the animal kingdom who eat it.
