Edinburgh's Wrought Iron

I have mentioned before how lucky Edinburgh is to have survived the silly idea during the World War II where the almight Lord Beaberbrook promoted the idea of cutting all the iron railing etc and turning them into munitions. Actually thsi was a PR exercise and most of it lay turning in to rusty heaps !!
