Frankie Pheasant

This is Frankie outside the kitchen window - he has a friend called Phillip - also a male pheasant. They are both a couple of the lucky ones that haven't been shot or run over. If they stay on this side of the road or not too far away on the other side they could stay lucky for a bit longer.

At the moment most female pheasants on the local Estate have been caught and taken away to sit on eggs to produce next year's game - so nearly all the pheasants seen at the moment are male.
