Reached a turning point.
Been getting lower and lower on this project over the last couple of weeks. In my mind, the drywall is the middle point of the project (not necessarily in time) and the chap who is supposedly putting it up just has got slower and slower as he's been working on something else next door (nothing to do with me).
And despite promise after promise that "i'll be doing some of this this evening", nothing has really moved on.
So today I got on with it and got the last 2 walls done. No idea what I'm doing but it seemed to fit on the wall.
After that was all up, a long overdue tidy up, an odd tidy up as some of the tools can go home now (eg sledgehammer), and then onto mudding the wall. Probably did about half a tub of mud on this initial coat, and tomorrow it'll need to be rubbed down before a second coat. Seemed to go nicely.
But the nice thing is that we're now putting Rancho Gordo back together which is a good feeling. Every day will be a day closer to finishing the major part of the work.
