Guess who took this?
Possibly better large, if only to see his focus.
I'd like to say I've taught him well, however, I have not once in my memory given Callum a camera.
By closing up the aperture a little and holding the camera steady for him, he captured us both.
Yesterday, I took what I feel to be very beautiful shots of my dear friend Cassandra in the same spot with the same gear and passing my camera to a fellow party guest, I hoped for at least one image from the fellow Canon shooter of the boys and I. Not a sausage. Not one made it out of trash sadly. You wonder how it goes so badly wrong when you hand your camera to someone else. But can you believe how absolutely gorgeous Cassandra is, all 6'2" (ish) of her. We're NICU buddies and during that time discovered her Dylan and my Reuben were IVF buddies in the same lab by the same Dr at the same time. Funny hey. We've also got frozen embryos side by side still there. Cassandra was there during Reuben's first open heart surgery.
This was actually after a off mini pro photo shoot we'd booked in which I doubt if Callum is looking anywhere other than into my shoulder in any of the shots. Reuben on the other hand was very cool. Surprising then that Callum, no doubt phased by two huge lenses and a Glide-cam focused on him by someone other than Mama, was in fantastic form afterwards, that is, after his treat. The images from there, the most extraordinary beautiful light on his eyes I've ever seen I'll post a link to soon, but given I so want to be in more images with the boys and that Callum actually owns the copyright to this, how could I resist?
We followed up with mass, the boys as ever entertaining the congregation and leaving, believing, their Palm Sunday fronds were light sabers.
