Moon Jellyfish

Barb, our neighbor, volunteers at the Seattle Aquarium and she was kind enough to provide us with free tickets a few months ago. We finally had an opportunity to use them today and as soon as Eric was out of school, we headed into town and down to the Seattle waterfront.

Aquariums always have lots of interesting things to photograph, but to me the jellyfish are always the most intriguing. The Moon Jellyfish exhibit was very cool since it circulated the water and the jellyfish around a 360 degree acrylic loop shaped tank. The tank was illuminated with a colored lights that changed colors every 10 seconds. This made for some potentially interesting, but difficult to capture, shots of colorful backlit jellyfish...
