Whitley Bay Beach

Can't go to the Bay without a visit to the Beach now can you?

Up early this morning again, not planned but that is how it is. Both children are still tired from the illness of last week but seem incapable of sleeping in to catch up. So by 09.30 we were in Tynemouth at the weekly market. So early they were still setting up. Carys bought a wooden bracelet for her little pen friend that she made on holiday last summer and I finally managed to get a new purse. Coffee and cake in a very nice shop with the kids colouring in while the grown ups relaxed. Back at J&V's by 11.30 for picnic lunch in their back garden. Then down on to the beach with Daddy, James & Vic, Richard and Jacob. Mummy, Coll and Toby went along to the cafe (can't let a baby get cold now can you?!).

Later Vic made us tea while we bathed the kids and we headed home. William was so tired he didn't know what to do with himself as we were leaving, but was asleep before we were half way through the Tyne Tunnel, Carys not long after the tunnel. 3.5hrs home, really good run.

Lovely weekend, but really tired now. Wouldn't want to do there and back in two days that often.
