CONGRATULATION'S........IT'S TWINS..........!!!!

We were privileged to watch the birth of this pair of calves as we were walking past a field near Pulborough, Sussex.

The calf on the right, was first born, mother laying on her side while giving birth. Within a minute or so she was back on her feet nudging and cleaning her newly born.

After no more than five minutes, mum layed down again, tail high in the air, two very loud MMOOOO's and out came calf number two.........she was then back on her feet cleaning both calves in turn.

As we watched, the first calf made his first attempt at standing within 15 minutes of being born, but finally managed to stay on his feet after the fourth or fifth attempt, and within twenty minutes was enjoying his mothers udders............within fourty minutes he was joined by his brother / sister.........

Just a fantastic experience and privilege..........
