Stormy Weather

Snow, sleet, hail and rain all in a freezing cold driving north-east wind today. Unfortunately, a young Minke Whale chose today to strand itself on a local beach. All hands on deck to try and rescue it, but with no success. The waves were just too much for us and the whale, and the vet eventually arrived and had to put it down. It had already been there some time, so its chances were very slim at the outset, but the weather conditions made it impossible.
