Mount Vesuvius
Rach brought her topic work home at the end of term.
Today it occurred to me how alike a volcano and a person with Autism actually are.
Bubbling away inside unbeknown to anyone and then they erupt causing devastation all around them.
It's been a difficult day today, Tony up and out by 7.30, I had to get Rach to school for an activity day by 9.30, Chris happily co operated but then Chris and I had to go to a respite centre for a visit as he finally starts going at the end of the month, that wasn't quite as easy, had to promise Mcs on the way home and spent half hour saying "visit, Mcs then home" just to get it into his head and eventually he agreed, the visit went well it is a lovely centre and he happily looked around then asked to leave.
I needed to pick Rach up from school at three but this time Chris was definatley not getting in the car again and promptly fell asleep 10 mins before I had to leave, my friend who runs the session would have brought her home but she had a couple of hrs cleaning to do and Rach has gym at 5pm.
Last resort was to get my 13 yr old neighbour to sit with Chris, I've never asked her before but as he was asleep I thought she would be fine for 10 mins.
I had the whole rigmarole to do again to get her to gym but Tony got in just in time, I'm picking her up again at 6.30 then I am going to collapse infront of the TV, I'm mentally drained today.
