Mr D'Arcy, Sir
I have been here before.
I actually think it may have been warmer then than today!
This time I am blipping Sir Robert D'Arcy who stands in one of the six niches at the front of the church. He was an MP for the Borough of Maldon in the reign of Henry VI and a lay-brother of the Order of Friars at Colchester.
Inside, the south aisle is known as the D'Arcy Aisle and the D'Arcy Chapel is rumoured to have been built by his generosity and is where members of his family were buried.
