Man into Tree

A holly tree is engulfing this gravestone in Eyke churchyard.

When I first saw Mr Button's tomb ten years ago you could still read his first name. Now you can only guess at it - and I can't remember. I think it was John.

He died about this time of year 260 years ago and was only 28. That bit you can still read. But as the holly tree continues to encroach one wonders for how long..
