Bread & Book

A busy domestic Saturday...time to catch up on baking (flapjack and brownies), laundry, housework, then realised we were out of bread so baked a loaf and caught up on reading my book (not that I need much excuse for that exercise).

For some reason (that I cannot remember) I had stopped baking home-made bread recently, but you just cannot beat the aroma of bread cooking, can you? Mind you, aside from soda bread, my hand-made bread comes out like a housebrick, so thank heavens for my breadmaker!

The Boy was rather subdued today, so think he had a good time last night...!

P.S. We had eaten half of the loaf before I realised I hadn't got my blip for the day, otherwise I'd have snapped the whole loaf!
