Snow In April? What Is This?

A nice day of work and then picture taking by Ullswater and round Eden Hall this afternoon. I'm not sure how the weather went from heat wave to blizzard in the space of a couple of days... Ice Age? I took this on the road from Glenridding to Pooley Bridge, just after I came down the pass from Matterdale past Aira Force. In the left hand of the shot is Beda Head and the rest of the Martindale area.
