Podcasts for America 1919-1929 are online NOW.
Not the best photo we will ever see but it's not about the photo today.
The title for this blip was on my son's Facebook Status last night.
Any parent of a teenager in their GCSE year will be going through much the same thought process as myself and Mrs P right now:
What is he up to in his bedroom?
And like any parent of a teenager, we often wonder what he is up to, because let's face it: teenagers only really tell us what they want us to know!
But we are blessed to have a son who is mature and responsible. His outspoken views on smoking, alcohol and drugs mean we can be certain he isn't doing any of those things. Perhaps it's because he saw me studying for a Masters Degree when he first started at secondary school, but we have never had to push him to do his school work.
His grades throughout his school life and his predicted GCSE grades mean he is working hard (and always has). Sometime we think he works too hard.
Of course he doesn't tell us everything. We knew he was doing some History podcasts because he asked me for a CD so he could put them on it for his school friend who was struggling with Hisstory.
Then came the requests from his class, followed by half the year!
It now appears that to save time, he posts them onto Quick Smart Revision so the whole world can revise History! So, if you see record grades in GCSE History this Summer you know who was responsible :)
Here's the link
They do say the best check of knowledge and understanding is when you can teach others so I don't think we need to worry about whether he is revising.
The worry will be on GCSE results day. We have only ever asked him to do his best and we know he will do that. But if he doesn't get A* in every subject he will be devastated. We won't but he will!
And yes, you've already worked out that we are incredibly proud of him.
