Lake Menteith

For the past six years the first week in April has meant one thing: music camp. Members of Perth Youth Orchestra, choir and other senior bands go away to Aberfoyle for a week of intense rehearsals and some fun. I'm not in Perth any more to keep playing but my sister is - she plays trombone in four of the groups!

Mum and I went to visit her today on what is traditionally 'Parent's Day'. We packed a picnic and some treats for Hilary (the camp food is a bit bland) and met up with her after she'd finished afternoon rehearsals. We drove to Lake Menteith just up the road - the only lake in Scotland - and then to Loch Lomond before dropping her back at camp. It was a lovely day out.

God's creation really is beautiful :)
