St.Anne's Church. Kew Green.
Business took me down to Twickenham this afternoon. A nice part of the world, and not too far in terms of miles but.....those miles are on the North Cicular, Hanger Lane, Kew Bridge, South Circular. Sloooow!
I have driven past this little church many times. It looks very ornate and has a fine past. Originaly built in 1714 on land donated by Queen Anne. Extended by King George III, further extended by King William IV. The burial place of Thomas Gainsborough.
It now stands grand but forlorne on the verge of four lanes of traffic that is the A205. The weather is trying to get worse, but it was nice to see the sun peek though the clouds every now and then.
