That's Life!

Book Week (4)

Georgetown's best used book store, Wastewise, is in a forbidding building on an industrial estate right behind the town centre, but it has the most, the best (I bought Alan Sillitoe, William Boyd and a huge photo book today) and the cheapest books in the district - and they're all yours for a dollar each. Best of all, the supplies change each week. Books are just part of the business, Wastewise is a depot for recycling general household junk, everything from kids' toys to furniture to old video machines (and, of course, all the videos you can carry at 25c each).
