Around our village (an occasional series)

I have blipped photos from our village in the past and here is another one.

Usually this is a very quiet, peaceful place with no major incidents. About 3 weeks ago the main road was closed while the fire brigade and police dealt with a fire that started in one of these houses and rapidly spread to the other. Thankfully no one was hurt and both families have moved into temporary accommodation while their houses are repaired.

Looks like it might be a long job to restore them to being habitable.

It was very cold here again today but most of the snow disappeared apart from on the hills. The cold rain forecast for the rest of the week does not look inviting and I have a number of walks to do. Could be worse......
