Kindly Geppetto

This twisted sculpture is located in City Garden in downtown St. Louis. "Kindly Geppetto" is about to swing a HUGE mallet to bonk Pinocchio on his noggin. Designed by Tom Otterness, it strikes me as somewhat playful and oh SO disturbing. City Garden is an incredible place. It's packed with gardens, sculptures, fountains, and the occasional bunny rabbit. There was an adorable baby bunny hopping around nibbling on the new leaves sprouting about and not far off a momma bunny too! Too cute! The gardens were full of variety and had plant identification plaques to educate as well. I wish Memphis had something that well thought out. It was such a clean and happy place. It felt so safe and as if everything in the world could coexist in peace. I could have spent the whole vacation there.
