Veg of the Future

Well, today was lovely and sunny, and I took Molly to the loch for the first time in a while, hoping to get the chance to take some pictures. I saw several ducks doing head bobbing mating rituals, but a spaniel jumped in and scared them off. Then I saw 2 Robins sitting very close to each other, looking very cute but Molly ran up and scared them off. I also saw many little birds, flitting about and sitting still just long enough for me to get the camera out, and then they flew off :-(. Mostly varieties of Tits, but many that we don't normally see. I think they were all very busy with nest building/pairing up etc. They didn't want to pose thats for sure. This morning in the garden the sparrowhawk was sitting on the back neighbours roof, right above where there are sparrows nesting in their eaves. He sat for ages, but all the sparrows were well hidden this time, and the garden was utterly silent....very rare with about 20-30 sparrows usually about. He was too far away and just in the shadows for my wee camera to take a decent shot.
So, my choices were Molly looking cute...again....or my veg seedlings on the window. So I opted for the veg, they are coming along very nicely and hopefully in the summer I will blip some of the results :-) Tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes, chilli peppers and aubergines all underway.
