Roadkill For Dinner
"Dealt with" a cock pheasant I'd found dead, still warm (no, I didn't attempt mouth-to-beak on him) on the road at the end of our drive yesterday.
Previously I'd attempted to pluck pheasants, but what a bloody palaver that is -the skin tears so easily - so I skinned today's bird. As a result he's going to have to be casseroled rather than roasted.
I don't know where he's been recently, but his crop was packed with grain!
For a rather different pheasant related story see the last two days' blips.
