I walked along the Tweed in late afternoon. We had lost the earlier sun and the light was rather flat. Any bird life - goosanders and some mallards - resolutely stuck to the opposite bank and out of effective camera range.
But the irises are growing. I love the yellow irises that grow wild across Scotland, and love the fact that they are growing here, on the banks of the Tweed.
I took a number of photos, but only this one worked for me.
