New walls and new jam

Ok...so there is light at the end of the tunnel. The massive task of wall building on the terrace was completed. This morning we were all in a veyr sorry state complaining of sore backs, wrists and general fatigue! We all set to work me on topping stones (very slowly), Raf on final wall downstairs and Theo helping out all round. My right had was aching so much that i was having difficulty lifting my trowel with mortar on it so i resorted to using my left hand.....very slowly! (pathetic) Anyhow - Theo came along and laid five entire walls of topping stone in the time it took me to do one!

Miguel popped by with a whole bucket of figs that needed immediate attention so i spent the afternoon making jam and tarts....yum yum.

This shot is of the marmelada and the new wall - which has totally transformed the terrace downstairs.

We had a massive clear up then had a BBQ dinner with quite alot of tinto!

During dinner we had lots of laughs and the 'boys' were 'boys' in that they had a little competition...
