The Witches

Such a fabulous day today.... Spent with some great friends after having a rough couple of days for one of them.

We've planned this fire a few weeks, a 9 mile walk through ancient woodland, with tales of death, disease and witchcraft.

The story goes 4 sisters lived in a village whet an out break of small pox killed 136 people, the locals accused the sisters of witchcraft and killed them without jury, in these woods. On each unmarked grave a beech tree grew twisted and knarled, where these planted or did they just grow ???
