I'll teach you to burn.

This is the weekly conflagration (or "classic thermal event" - as engineers/ physicists call it) of the build-up of shit in the fireplace. Anything that can't be recycled or recovered and isn't contaminated with animal by-products (more of that in a sec.) goes in here and is burnt with stuff I chop out of the garden. It gives a little bit of warmth and draws nice cool air into the gaff.
